I need to make a password when I close my notebook and it goes to sleep
when I open it I want it to ask for a password to do anything
like getting into windows
Also
I like to have certain progams with password even on adminastrater and myself
such as
MSCONFIG
Programs and Features (old add or remove software)
Device manager
I love putting everthing on the desktop (like windows 3.1 best windows ever) so that i can get it fast
ANY KNOW
And I don’t mean that password where you can click cancel and it does just the same
or
in security given others limited access
I want my Users account with password protective like a word document when you put password protective and you open it up—– Gotta Have the password mate”
Thank you very very much paste the instructions what ever do you best this answer thins only gives you 1 shot and I cant respond back
IN advance Thank you

Password protect your account and then right click on your desktop and then click screen saver and then click “On resume dislpay welcome screen”. This way when you close your notebook, it will ask for a password when you reopen it. You must have XP to do this. You can do it in 98 but easily craked

If yo have no password on your Windows account, can you give me your IP address so I can go in there and do anything I want to your computer???
Basically - this is what you are allowing anyone to do who discovers your computer on a network.
